Terms and Conditions

By accessing and using the Wylfred platform (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below, as well as our Privacy Policy and Legal Notices (collectively, the "Terms"). You acknowledge that you have read and understood the Terms.

Wylfred is a product of Lexya Inc., a company headquartered at 1375 Frank-Carrel Street, Suite 30, Québec (Québec) G1N 2E7, Canada. For the purposes of these Terms, the term "user" refers to any person who accesses the Wylfred platform or interacts with its services.

Wylfred reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, without notice; such modifications take effect upon publication on the Site. We encourage you to review them regularly.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and Wylfred with respect to the use of the Site and its content, replacing any prior agreement between the user and Wylfred regarding the subject matter hereof.

In the event of a discrepancy between the linguistic versions of the Site and the Terms, the French version prevails.

1. Use of the Site

You acknowledge that you are authorized to visit, display and retain a copy of the pages of the Site for personal purposes only. You may not reproduce, download, publish, modify or distribute the content of the Site other than to consult the scholarships presented to you and manage your profile. You also agree not to create hyperlinks without the prior authorization of Wylfred. The content and software of the Site are the exclusive property of Lexya Inc. and are protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws.

2. Free Access and Waitlist

Access to the Wylfred platform is free for student users. Wylfred reserves the right to modify this access model at any time, with reasonable notice provided to existing users.

During the pre-launch phase, access to the platform is granted in order of registration on the waitlist. Registration on the waitlist does not constitute a guarantee of access and creates no contractual obligation on the part of Wylfred. By registering on the waitlist, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. User Obligations

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any part of the Service without prior express written authorization from us.

As a user, you agree not to:

  • use the Site in a way that compromises, disables or overloads it
  • disrupt the security of the Site or the systems, servers or networks associated with the Site or affiliated or linked sites
  • transmit viruses or other harmful elements via the Site
  • use automated methods to monitor or copy pages of the Site
  • send unsolicited emails via the Site
  • violate, whether intentionally or not, any applicable national or international laws
  • collect or store the personal data of other users of the Site
  • sell, resell or commercially exploit any part of the Site, its use or any right of access to it
  • provide false, inaccurate or misleading information in your profile for the purpose of obtaining matching results for which you would not otherwise be eligible

Any breach or violation of these Terms will result in the immediate termination of your access to the services.

4. Nature of the Matching Service

4.1 Wylfred's role

Wylfred is an AI-powered scholarship discovery and matching platform. Wylfred acts as an information intermediary between students and scholarship-granting organizations. Wylfred is not a scholarship-granting organization, does not manage applications and is not a party to any organization's selection process.

4.2 No guarantee of results

Wylfred does not guarantee:

  • the number of scholarships that will be presented to you
  • your eligibility for the scholarships identified by the platform
  • the receipt of a scholarship following an application
  • a minimum or maximum amount of funding accessible through the platform

Matching results are recommendations generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you have provided. They do not constitute a confirmation of eligibility and should not be interpreted as such.

4.3 Accuracy of scholarship information

Wylfred makes its best efforts to maintain an accurate and up-to-date scholarship database. However, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy or currency of the information presented. Eligibility conditions, amounts and deadlines may change without notice from the relevant organizations. We encourage you to verify all information directly with the scholarship-granting organization before submitting an application.

4.4 External applications

Applications for scholarships are submitted directly on the websites of the relevant organizations. Wylfred does not manage applications, does not collect application documents (cover letters, transcripts, etc.) and is not responsible for any organization's selection process.

5. Featured Scholarships

Certain scholarships presented on the platform may be subject to a paid priority placement by a sponsoring organization. These scholarships are clearly identified as sponsored. Priority placement of a scholarship does not constitute a recommendation by Wylfred as to the quality or relevance of that scholarship for your profile. Eligibility criteria remain those defined by the relevant organization.

6. User Profile and Accuracy of Information

The relevance of your matching results depends directly on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and agree to keep it up to date.

Wylfred cannot be held liable for inaccurate or irrelevant matching results arising from incomplete, inaccurate or outdated information provided by the user.

7. Artificial Intelligence

Wylfred's matching service relies on artificial intelligence systems, including third-party models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini). These systems analyze your profile in order to generate personalized recommendations. The results produced are suggestions and not final decisions. 8. Advertising on the Platform

Wylfred delivers advertising on its platform through Google Ad Manager (GAM) and third-party advertising partners. By using the platform, you agree to the delivery of relevant advertising. For more information on the use of your data for advertising purposes, please consult our Privacy Policy.

9. Accuracy of Information

Although Wylfred has taken all reasonable precautions to compile the information on the Site with care and diligence, some information may be inaccurate or out of date. Wylfred reserves the right to correct errors or update information on the Site without notice.

The content of this Site is provided for informational purposes only and should not be your sole source of information when making important decisions. If you choose to rely on the content presented on this Site, you do so at your own risk.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service, or any part thereof, without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Hyperlinks

The Site may contain hyperlinks to sites operated by third parties, including the websites of scholarship-granting organizations ("Hyperlinks"). Wylfred does not endorse these sites or their content and cannot be held liable for their content, their privacy practices or any damages they may cause. Use of the Hyperlinks is at your own risk.

Wylfred reserves the right to add, remove or modify Hyperlinks on the Site. Any person wishing to establish a hyperlink to the Site must obtain the prior written consent of Wylfred.

11. Privacy Policy

By using the Wylfred Site, you accept our Privacy Policy with respect to the processing and protection of your personal information, in accordance with applicable laws in Québec and Canada, including Law 25.

12. Limitation of Liability

Lexya Inc., its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers and licensors shall in no event be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, savings or data, replacement costs or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of the Service, the scholarship matching results, the rejection of an application by an organization, or any other claim relating in any way to your use of the Service. Our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws in Québec and Canada.

13. Termination

The obligations and liabilities incurred by the parties prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of these Terms for all purposes.

These Terms are effective unless and until terminated by either you or Wylfred. You may terminate these Terms at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our Site.

If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have failed or we suspect that you have failed to comply with any provision of these Terms, we may terminate this agreement at any time without notice. You will remain responsible for all obligations incurred up to and including the date of termination, and we may deny you access to our Services or any part thereof.

14. Legal Notices

All content on the Site, including texts, drawings, graphics, images and photographs, is the exclusive property of Lexya Inc. It is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws. It is prohibited to copy, publish, distribute, reproduce, modify or exploit the content of the Site without the prior written authorization of Lexya Inc.

The domain names used by Wylfred are the exclusive property of Lexya Inc., and any domain name misappropriation is prohibited. The trade names, logos and marks used on the Site are trade names, trademarks or official marks of Lexya Inc. and may not be copied or used without prior written authorization.
